Forget about your mother's stuffy Ellen Tracy suits. The brand is headed for the better-priced market, in other words an upgrade.
The company has formed an exclusive deal with Macy's and will introduce 100 in-store shops for the better price point beginning in spring 2010.
Ellen Tracy's decision to leave the bridge arena may leave retailers scrambling to fill the void. The Ellen Tracy collection is currently sold in Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Dillards, Neiman Marcus, and Lord & Taylor.
