Serena chic in Louis Vuitton.
Serena Williams looked quite chic in a black frock at the preview of Louis Vuitton's 2010 Resort collection at the Louis Vuitton Lifestyle Shop in Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC. We know Serena Williams can be hit or miss sometimes with her fashion choices but lately she's been on point. And it doesn't hurt to have a handsome man like Common around either.

Amidst the nations financial crisis, the economy hasn't affected the abundance of designer shops. Saks Fifth Avenue's Fifth Avenue flagship has welcomed a bevy of designer shops within the last month including Max Mara, Calvin Klein Collection, Donna Karan, Burberry, Akris Punto, and Agnora.
Each designer shop has its own theme, influenced by the collection itself. Burberry has a contemporary British theme, while Calvin Klein has a bright, clean appearance. Akris Punto is trying out a new concept with a fresh look reminiscent of the brand. Donna Karan's shop has polished black walls, beige travertine floors, and a flat screen television.
Each designer shop is strategically placed in areas where there high-traffic volume and an atrium where brands are highlighted each week.

Fashion Week Events: Rachel Roy New York - Spring 2010 Runway Show
Monday, September 14, 2009
Feel free to me a stan for Rachel Roy, (hey what can I say, we're both Bay Area girls), but I am officially in love with her Rachel Roy New York Spring 2010 collection. Because I am indeed a minimalist when it comes to fashion--well sometimes, I was quite impressed with simplistic elegance for her latest designs. The colors are indeed bold, but not an obnoxious sort of way. They seem to flow well with the assortment of beautiful draped dresses, sleek trousers and tailored jackets. Put frankly the line is absolute perfection.
The Rachel Roy New York collection is available online and at select department stores including Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Bloomingdale's and boutiques nationwide.

Luxury brand Fendi North America has hired a new president, Stacy Van Praagh to lead it into it's next era. Van Praagh's previous post was as vice president of sales at Oscar de La Renta.
Like most other luxury brands, Fendi has seen a dip in profit although the company's ready-to-wear and footwear sectors have experienced moderate growth. Beginning with the fall-winter season, Saks Fifth Avenue will showcase Fendi ready-to-wear in it's newly redesigned floor.
Fendi merchandise can be found in Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and Jeffrey. Fendi plans to open a boutique at the CityCenter in Las Vegas.
