Beauty: Zoë Kravitz Dubbed New Face of Vera Wang’s Latest Princess

Multi-talented actress and musician, Zoë Kravitz will be the next young starlet to be featured in the ads for Vera Wang’s Princess fragrance line. After British actress Camilla Belle’s contract expired in July, Kravitz stepped in to take the throne as the new princess for the Vera Wang fragrance highly anticipated re-launch. For the next 2 years, Kravitz will assume this position on behalf of the signature fragrance and additional scents released under the Princess brand. The first fragrance under the Princess brand, Glam Princess will hit stores in December.

The new ad campaigns for Glam Princess will be a maturation of the 2006 ad campaigns that featured Camilla Belle. For the new Glam Princess fragrance, Vera Wang’s president of licensing Laura Lee Miller wanted to give consumers something fresh and new, the fashion forward Zoë Kravitz was an ideal fit. According to Miller, the ads will showcase Kravitz as “a modern-day princess, living her life, and revealing herself through her fragrance.”

Besides picking Zoë Kravitz as the new face for the fragrance, the company has also updated the scent and bottle decor. The original Princess bottle will still be used but with a few additions such as a gold shimmer finish, bright pink stars and a multi-toned jeweled and gold-toned cap. The scent will have a fruit-infused smell that will differ from the Rock Princess fragrance that was released in April of this year. The new fragrance will be a concoction of red berries, guava, pear, orange blossom, vanilla orchid, ambrette, marshmallow and cashmere wood.

Glam Princess will be offered in two eau de toilettes and one lotion when it is released next month.  The fragrance will retail for:
-1.7 oz. eau de toilette for $45
-3.4 oz. eau de toilette for $72
-5 oz. body lotion for $32
