The House of Deréon is launching a dress collection for daywear just in time for next Spring. House of Deréon designer Tina Knowles says she wanted to create a line of dresses that take a woman from the office to a night on the town. The complete collection will also include jumpsuits and jackets alongside the tank, sheath, and cap-sleeve dresses. This time around the company wanted to create a collection where the designs were elegant and not over-the-top.
The House of Deréon has already experienced some success with it's contemporary social occasion dresses. Initially the collection was launched as a sportswear line in 2004, but with low sales, it was revamped as Deréon and reintroduced in 2006. The new House of Deréon day dress collection is being shopped at high-end department stores and specialty retailers. Knowles hopes to expand the House of Deréon brand into accessories to include jewelry as well.
