Fashion & Style News: Venus Williams U.S. Open Green Tee

Tennis champion Venus Williams is bringing her design skills to the U.S. Open.

The talented tennis player and designer who launched her own clothing line, EleVen in 2007 is bringing her skills to the U.S. Open by designing official merchandise in the form of an eco-friendly tee. A portion of the profits will benefit Unisphere Inc., a non-proft organization that maintains Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the U.S. Open tournament takes place.

The tees will retail for $36 and will be available at the U.S. Open on on usopen.org.

Fashion & Style News: Gucci's Snowan to Aid Unicef

In the spirit of giving, the upcoming Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF is going into it's fifth year. Gucci's creative director Frida Gianni worked with author/illustrator Michael Roberts to create Snowman in Africa. The book will be sold in over 200 Gucci boutiques worldwide and on Gucci.com from November 25th-December 31st.

All proceeds from book sales will benefit UNICEF and book signings are scheduled for New York, London, and Paris flagship stores.Gianni has also created a series of snowman themed accessories and a gift card series that will feature illustrations from the book and ranging in value from $50-$5,000.

The Gucci UNICEF campaign supports education, health care, protection and clean water programs for children and orphans affected by HIV and AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
