All good press aside (in addition to First Lady Michelle Obama's unofficial endorsement of the brand), J. Crew's creative director Jenna Lyons is on a targeted mission to make the brand even more fabulous. Lyons who has been with the company since 1990, takes her job very seriously. J. Crew is all about creating great clothes that can serve as multifunctional pieces while still being fabulous. With cashmere cardigans, luxurious silk tank tops, pretty skirts, and fitted blazers, J. Crew opts to make women feel lady-like just as much as they like to make them feel like they didn't break the bank. The collection is a hit among upper echelon moms just as it is with the first-string career woman. And of course no ensemble would be complete without the right accessories. J. Crew has great handbags in leather for work and durability and satin for those night out on the town. The jewelry is exquisite and rivals some pricier pieces on might purchase with a new Black Visa card. All in all, J. Crew will be around for a long time to come and we will all be waiting.
