The latest fragrance from the Donna Karan empire is PureDKNY. The new scent is combining naturalism with philanthropy. It has partnered with CARE to support the women of Uganda and educate consumers on the importance of breaking the cycle of poverty.
CARE has been helping the women of Ugnda since 1969 and has also helped women start small businesses and make a difference in their communities. The PureDKNY fragrance has Ugandan vanilla as well as dewdrop, lotus flower, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, freesia and lush orchid.
PureDKNY will hit stores internationally in the coming weeks and the U.S. in July. It will come in three sizes: 1 oz, 1.7, and 3.4 oz sizes for $42, $60 and $80 respectively. The collection will also include a $38 body butter. The ad campaign will include television and print.

Advertisements for Mariah Carey's new fragrance Forever have finally hit the scene. The fragrance hits stores in September.Carey's new album featuring the hit single Obsessed is also due out in September.

Bebe to Launch Signature Fragrance

California based Bebe Stores, Inc. will launch it's signature fragrance on August 20th in 212 Bebe stores. In September the fragrance will be sold in 300 Dillard's stores exclusively for six months. This is the retailer's third attempt to sell a fragrance and hopefully the third time is a charm. The company admits previous efforts were not marketed successfully and the sales didn't add up. After the exclusive deal with Dillard's, the company hopes to expand into stores like Nordstrom, Sephora, and Macy's.The scent comes in three sizes: 3.4 ounces, $65, 1.7 for $49.50 and a mini .33 ounce spray for $12. The 6 ounce shimmer lotion, will retail for $12. The Bebe fragrance comes bottle is heart-shaped and the 3.4-oz. flacon has a heart charm with encrusted pavé crystals. The 1.7-oz bottle comes with a metal heart charm.
The target audience for the Bebe fragrance is 18-34 year-olds who are cool, hip, sexy, and romantic. A provocative advertising campaign for the Bebe fragrance will be featured in Cosmopolitan, Elle, and In Style magazines.
Apple Bottoms Joins the Fragrance Market

Joining the large selection of fragrances on the counters this fall is Apple Bottoms by Nelly. Inspired by his Apple Bottoms apparel line, the first to cater to women of all shapes and sizes, the fragrance is targeted toward the "Apple Bottoms woman." The collection will feature eau de parfum in 1.7 oz for $48 and 3.4 oz for $58. Body lotion and body wash will retail for $22 and $20 respectively.The fragrance combines a palette of citrus, rose, coconut, pink peony and amber; as well as notes of sandalwood, musk, and of course, apple. Gifts with purchase and holiday gifts sets will also be available. The line will be marketed by Romane Fragrances.

Queen Latifah is joining the ranks of celebrity fragrance aristocrats. Her new fragrance Queen by Queen Latifah will make it's fall debut in Macy's department stores. The royal fragrance has notes of get this, tequila, one of the singer-actress' favorite liquors. It also features hints of rose and jasmine. The scent is so subtle that you don't have to worry about running your man or anyone else away. Queen Latifah says it was designed with the "less is more concept". A 1.7 oz. eau de parfum bottle will cost you $49; 3.7 oz will go for $59.
