Celebrity Style: Thandie Newton & Alicia Keys

Friday, May 28, 2010

 Thandie Newton
Alicia Keys
Thandie Newton and Alicia Keys were dolled up for the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in London. The slim and trim Thandie opted for a beautiful strapless black ball gown with gold fleck detail. Alicia wore a cocktail length feathered gown with a cinched waist, I gather to hide her pregnant belly (she announced yesterday that she and still married music producer Swizz Beats are expecting). Not feeling her dress or her alleged homewrecking but the Louboutins are nice.

Entertainment: Alicia Keys "Unthink-able" Music Video featuring Drake

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

My honey dedicated this song to me and I just heard it for the first time last week. The video is a little confusing but I'm loving Alicia Keys' draped dress and jewelry. The video spans different eras from the 1950s to the present. Rapper Drake co-wrote the song with her and sings background vocals. Thanks for the video Necole Bitchie!

Pass or Fail?
While I love the black and silver combination Alicia Keys is wearing, the tights and shoes together made me cringe. Did she hit it? Or did she miss it?

Fashion & Style News: A. Keys Jewelry Hits the Scene

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Keys with Gisèle Theriault.

Singer Alicia Keys' jewelry collection The Barbers Daughters had found a temporary home at the Collette Blanchard Gallery in NYC. The collection will be sold Monday and Tuesday of next week in hopes of generating buzz for the collection's fall 2010 debut.

Keys teamed up with jewelry designer Gisèle Theriault who created the line inspired by the poetry and prayers of Masaru Emoto, author of The Hidden Messages in Water. Keys and Theriault connected when the designer was selling jewelry to Keys' bandmates at one of her shows backstage.

Just as Keys plans to make her mark in the world of fashion, she releases her fourth studio album, The Element of Freedom on December 15.

The line of necklaces retail from $85 to $2,500 and is also sold on thebarbersdaughters.com Web site.

And speaking of freedom Alicia, is your married beau divorced yet?

Style Profile: Alicia Keys

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Chic, sleek, sporty and sweet could be used to describe the style of Miss Alicia Keys. The talented singer-songwriter and activist has evolved from an around-the-way girl into a girl about town. She favors Armani and Gucci but is just at home in a pair of jeans. Miss Keys, who was named one of Vanity Fair's best-dressed has a style that is definitely top-notch.
