Fashion & Style News: Naomi Sims Estate to Host Charity Auction

 The estate of the late model Naomi Sims is hosting a charity auction to raise funds for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. The auction will include garments and accessories worn by Sims during her career as a fashion model. Items are priced to sell from $50 to $1500 and will feature designers such as Louis Vuitton and Elsa Perretti.

SI models showed up to support the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at the launch Party at Provocateur at The Hotel Gansevoort yesterday evening in New York City.There have been many who have argued that the SI swimwear issue doesn't really serve a purpose, that it's merely just a mechanism used to "taunt men about what they can't have" as one man put it. Other concerns were that is was teaching young women that they have to be skinny to be beautiful. I wouldn't go that far. But I think the concerns are warranted. However since I have no issue with the magazine because it's not filled with Chocolate hunks, I don't think it's that serious. Carry on ladies.
